Solution

‘Noble silence’. The objects were so majestic that they spoke for themselves. Photographs were taken with diffused lighting against a soft grey background – the horizon line running at the same height throughout to maintain stillness. An excellent felt-marked uncoated paper in off-white meant that the print result retained all the details but with a lovely soft quality.
